Before moving to the Bahamas recently, Smith lived, worked and had a sexual relationship in California, Opri told reporters at Los Angeles Superior Court, where a 75-minute hearing was held in private. Birkhead gave a thumbs-up sign as he left the courtroom but said nothing.

It was the most difficult day of her entire life, Smith reportedly added, according to the TrimSpa website. While the Associated Press quoted a program from the service as stating, "My dearest son Daniel, you were my rock, you were the only one who could keep me solid. Why God took you away from me now I do not understand." Wednesday's Local NewsA Lucas County grand jury ruled Wednesday on the fate of Wayne Stanton Powell, who, prosecutors say, started the fire which killed four people on Nov. 11.
