Parents should keep an eye on children, say expertsIN A STARTLING turn of events, internet experts are saying that parents should take responsibility for their children and check what they are getting up to online, familiarising themselves with sites like MySpace and YouTube, reports The Australian.A new website, titled "Think U Know" presumably to fit in with the all-too-common web spelngz tht r like ths, is a new Aussie national initiative to offer children protection online, supposedly ensuring that they are not at risk of exploitation or one step away from giving private details out. The site will mirror the UK version. Microsoft, the Virtual Global Taskforce and Aussie government advisory body NetAlert are all teaming up for the website. Director of NetAlert Kevin Zuccato reckons that sites like MySpace and YouTube are "the new websites that children are inhabiting and using as their playground." Kev goes on to say that the Think U Know website will hopefully encourage communication between the parents and the children regarding web activities.

World Champion Eddie Guerrero in a bullrope match to win the title.Officials collect DNA samplesOfficials are now gathering DNA samples from the public to be placed in a national database in preparation for the country's first DNA lab that is set to open within a year.Forensic science officers have begun to collect samples from many people in Nassau, Grand Bahama and the family islands so that a database can soon be created. The DNA samples that are collected will be used later for an elimination, or identification, in circumstances where a sexual offense has been committed and police are searching for the perpetrator. "It is a means of ensuring that when we do get to the point where we are in court, reporting on sexual offenses we'd have a statistical reference point to say that the samples that we're examining belonged to a particular individual," explained Corporal Melisande Bassett from the Biology and DNA department of the Royal Bahamas Police Force.
