Boeing will be taking a series of near-term actions as the company accelerates the evaluation of options for the future of its Connexion by Boeing high-speed broadband communications business.Boeing has pursued the business vigorously, developing technology that has worked well and evolved into a useful product. However, the market for the service has not developed satisfactorily. Therefore, the company will be working in conjunction with customers to thoroughly evaluate the Connexion marketplace and business model to determine next steps.
Meetings are being scheduled with customers across all Connexion business channels -- including airline, defense, maritime, corporate aircraft and general aviation -- to assess the current state of the market and develop plans that address market conditions.
Gnote Allstarz
Jazz, which originated with the Southern Blacks of the United States, notably New Orleans, Louisiana, in the 19th century, is alive in The Bahamas. Thanks to the group of young Bahamians known as Gnote Allstarz.Jazz started as an improvisation, but it is now arranged and is characterised by heavy accented rhythms, dissonance, individual melodic variations from the trumpet, trombone, clarinet and saxophone. This is what GNote has been putting out for the past six years.
Core members of the group - Deon Turnquest, Kevin Dean and Lamont Gibson - are products of Duke Errol, entertainer emeritus and music teacher. Such young men speak of Duke Errol in unflattering terms, since he afforded them 'the opportunity of a lifetime' to play in The National Youth Orchestra and to acquire an appreciation for the highest form of music.

Earl J. Lang and his wife, Karen Freeman, are the owners of Acme Bicycle Shop. In February 2003, they purchased what used to be Ralph's Bike Shop on Marion Avenue in downtown Punta Gorda and changed the name to Acme. Hurricane Charley forced the shop to move and the center where it now is located is itself undergoing repairs in the hurricane's aftermath.
At any given time, the store has about 80 bikes on display, Earl said.
